Q. Is it okay to take a hops pill along with this natural sleep formula?
A. Some users do take a hops pill with it and most say it helps them.
Q. Does Good Night Rx work the first time I take it?
A. For most people it does. For others it may take the second or third evening of trial before it finally starts working. Some people who were disappointed the first night and tried again the second and third nights realized that it did work for them after all. The most common reasons that this product may not work the first time is due to taking it with a meal or full stomach, or taken by those who are regular pharmaceutical sleeping pilll users whose brain is used to a knockout punch from a drug.
Q. When is the best time to take Good Night Rx natural sleep pill?
A. Each person is different, but a range of 30 minutes to 4 hours before sleep, most often 1 to 3 hours before sleep is acceptable for many people.
Q. Can I take Good Night Rx with a pharmaceutical sleeping pill?
A. We discourage the use of Good Night Rx the same night as a drug.
Q. I would like to try Good Night Rx, once and for all. I see that you encourage only occasional -and I guess "as needed"- use of the supplement so I know that there shouldn't be dependence. However in terms of when to use it: Can it be used say, when I eventually realize after a while that I'm having an acute (occasional) bout of sleep problems, for whatever reason? In other words would it be ok to use it late into the night after tossing and turning is already in progress? Or might it cause me to be too sleepy in the morning (if I eventually fall asleep) when used too "late"?
A. Good Night Rx does not work well taken in the middle of the night. It is best used 1 to 4 hours before bed on an empty stomach, followed a half hour or later by a meal that has carbohydrates to induce sleep such as spaghetti, tomato sauce, and a little bit of cheese.
Q. Can I take 2 capsules of Good Night Rx at one time?
A. Only if you have previously tried one capsule and you feel you needed a higher dose and your doctor approves.
Q. Can I take a second capsule of Good Night Rx after I have taken one capsule?
A. Some people benefit from taking a second capsule of Good Night Rx 2 or 3 hours after taking the first one.
Q. Can I take Good Night Rx during the day if I feel stressed?
A. Only if you plan to stay at home and will not be driving or operating heavy machinery for at least 6 to 8 hours.
Q. Is alcohol use okay with Good Night Rx?
A. One glass of beer or a couple of ounces of wine are fine, but we discourage drinking more than these limited amounts.
Q. I have chronic insomnia and take a sleep drug nightly. Could Good Night Rx replace the sleep medicine?
A. This product is for those who have occasional sleepless nights, not those who have chronic insomnia. There is sometimes a rebound effect when a sleep medicine is stopped which means it is more difficult to sleep on the night when the sleep medicine is not taken. Good Night Rx is not as potent as pharmaceutical sleeping pills and is not meant for those who have chronic, severe insomnia.
Q. I would like to know the amount of each ingredient in Good Night Rx.
A. The FDA allows companies not to reveal the exact amounts as a way of trademark and patent protection, otherwise other companies can copy a successful formula. Good Night Rx is a successful propriatary blend, hence we are not in a position to reveal this.
Q. I have a little difficulty with Good Night Rx as to when and how to take it. The recommendation of 1 to 4 hours before bed time on an empty stomach does not chive with rhythm. I eat at 6:30 pm and go to bed at 9:30 pm. Should I take it before 6:30 pm? Is my stomach already empty at 8:30 pm?
A. Good Night Rx can be taken up to 3 or 4 hours before bed, therefore it can be taken at about 6 pm. You may also try another time at 8:30 or 9 pm to see which option works better for you.
Q. I suffer from the occasional sleepless nights and am interested in trying Good Night Rx. However, I have problems swallowing pills. Can Good Night Rx be broken up and/or ground? Thank you.
A. The capsules can be easily opened by twisting and pulling, and the contents mixed with a little bit of water, or juice. Please take it on a totally empty stomach for best absorption.
Q. I would like to know the mg of how much 5-HTP, valerian, passionflower and melatonin in Good Night Rx sleep product.
A. Good Night Rxis a proprietary blend and we don't want our competition to know the exact dosages since they can copy it and sell this successful formula developed after years of research by Dr. Ray Sahelian.
Q. I get better sleep when I take Good Night Rx. Is it not okay to take this product every night? It seems many of the herbs and nutrients in Good Night Rx have health benefits.
A. Good Night Rx has a number of herbs and nutrients and many have health benefits, but we suggest people not take a sleep aid, no matter whether it is herbal or pharmaceutical, more than three nights a week since tolerance may develop or side effects may occur.
Q. Is it okay to take a theanine supplement an hour or two after taking a Good Night Rx pill?
A. If you have tried each one on separate evenings and know how each supplement makes you feel separately, then it would be fine to combine them unless you have a major health issue or taking medications, in which case consult with your doctor.
Q. I read on a website that GABA is very unreliable because it does not easily cross the blood brain barrier. Why then is it in Goodnight Rx. Do other herbs in Goodnight Rx help GABA cross the blood brain barrier? My problem is that I can not sleep long enough. I wake up at 4 or 4:30 and can not go back to sleep, no matter what supplements I take.
A. There are more than a dozen ingredients in Good Night Rx that work together to help with sleep. The majority of Good Night Rx users find it to be very helpful but it has to be taken on an empty stomach at least 2 to 4 hours before bed. If you eat late in the evening, consider taking the Good Night Rx a half hour before your meal.
I am reading that this pill should be taken on an empty stomach before bed.If someone eats dinner at 630 pm and goes to bed around 10, will it work? My girlfriend has had trouble sleeping for years and may have insomnia / restless leg syndrome. She’s 56 years old.
It would be best to take it on an empty stomach around 6 pm. Some users find, in addition, taking a graviola pill and a hops pill an hour or so before bed is quite helpful.
